‘Winter Waltz' is a solo piano piece, and homage to some of my favourite pianists, combining elements of each- the romantic overtones of Chopin, Debussy's impressionism and Nat King Cole's delicate jazz stylings.
I recently stayed for a week on the beautiful island of Minjerribah (Stradbroke), Home to the traditional owners, the Quandamooka people; Minjerribah means 'island in the sun.'
'Breathe In' is a peaceful piano piece (featuring the ocean waves at Deadmans beach) about taking time to be still & appreciate the present moment.

BEACON 20 PIANO PIECES TO FIND STILLNESS IN EVERY STORM. I composed this album during early 2020 Covid lockdowns. The solitude that came with self isolation gave birth to this introspective album. Staring out my inner-city studio window at boats going by along the Brisbane River, I imagined life as a solitary lighthouse keeper.
